A Blessing for Grandparents

By Katie Beckmann Mahon, Communications Manager

With all that is happening in our lives, it has become easy to lose touch with our loved ones.

From commitments at work and home, along with the ever-growing presence of technology in our daily routines, it seems that days can pass by, and we can forget to stay in contact with our loved ones, most notably our grandparents.

For those of us fortunate enough to still have living grandparents, it is vital to appreciate the joy, comfort, and wisdom that they give us each day.

Whether your grandparents are a short drive away or require a plane ride to see, a way to show your gratitude for them is by celebrating Grandparents Day on Sunday, September 13th.

On Grandparents Day, be sure to let your grandparents know that you are thinking of them and honoring them with prayer.

Blessing of Grandparents (1)

God almighty,

bless our grandparents with a long life, happiness, and health.

May they remain constant in your love

and be living signs of your presence

to their children and grandchildren.

We ask this through Christ, our Lord.

Amen.
