Embracing Faith Through Prayer – National Police Week

By Katie Beckmann Mahon, Communications Manager

This week’s “Embracing Faith” article will focus on Embracing Faith through Prayer.

"Greater love has no woman or man than this,

that who lays down life for friends." -John 15:13

May 10th – 16th marks National Police Week, an annual celebration that honors and recognizes the sacrifice and courage of the brave women and men working on the frontlines.

Throughout this pandemic, local, state, and federal law enforcement officers have been risking their lives each day to serve and protect our communities.

Over the upcoming days, take a moment to remember, honor, and express our gratitude to all police officers with the Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel.

Prayer to St. Michael The Archangel (1)

St. Michael the Archangel,

defend us in battle,

be our protection against

the wickedness and snares of the devil.

May God rebuke him we humbly pray;

and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host,

by the power of God, cast into hell Satan

and all the evil spirits who prowl

about the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Amen.
