Statement on Climate Justice

BLAUVELT, NY (6/2/2017) - The Dominican Sisters of Blauvelt released the following statement regarding Climate Justice:

"The Sisters of St. Dominic of Blauvelt, NY, in response to our Corporate Stance on Climate Justice and our 2017 Chapter Directive to respond to needs of the most vulnerable in the entire community of life, shall continue to support climate action to meet the Paris 2015 Agreement.  As individuals and as a congregation, we shall take steps to reduce our carbon footprint and support the transition to a low carbon economy.  We applaud local and state governments as well as businesses and other entities that have put procedures into place to decrease greenhouse gas emissions."
