We remember our Associate Patricia Ann Hannon who passed away on January 26, 2020.
Pat served for 40 years in public libraries in northern NJ, mostly as a director. In 1989 she became an Associate of the Sisters of St. Dominic of Blauvelt and was an active participant, serving for several years on the Associate Team.
A generous, talented and gifted person, as an associate, Pat volunteered in the congregational Archives’ office, re-organized and managed the sisters’ Reflection Library, and was a member
of the Preaching Team.
She served as guitarist for liturgical celebrations and, until shortly before her death, as a volunteer receptionist at the motherhouse.
She is survived by her partner, Mary Lou Cull. She was predeceased by Mary Gibbons, her brother Robert T. Hannon of Wood-Ridge and her parents, L. Robert Hannon and Frances Laurent Hannon.
A wake will be held at Higgins’ Funeral Home, 321 South Main Street New City, NY on Thursday January 30 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 AM January 31st at St. Dominic’s Convent 496 Western Highway Blauvelt, NY.
