This week’s “Embracing Faith” article will focus on Embracing Faith through Mindfulness.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance,
kindness, goodness, and faithfulness…” -Galatians 5:22
People have experienced a broad range of emotions throughout the past year, from fear to devastation to grief to anger.
As we approach the one-year mark of the initial shutdown due to the pandemic, it is critical to focus on our path forward and our mindfulness.
That is why the Sisters of Saint Dominic of Blauvelt, New York, are hosting two upcoming discussions that will help you focus on how to live through COVID with faith and hope, as well as how you can open your heart to the world and find common ground with others.
These two discussions are a part of our annual Catholic Sisters Week celebration and will feature several Sisters of Saint Dominic.
Our first discussion, “Living Through COVID with Faith & Hope,” will take place this Thursday, March 4th, at 3 PM and be moderated by Sr. Terry Rickard, President and Executive Director of RENEW International.
Discussion participants will hear from Sisters Mary Flood, Maggie McDermott, and Mary Eileen O’Brien on how they have used their faith and hope in their ministries to respond to the challenges of the pandemic.
There is still time to reserve your spot for this event. To do so, visit https://pages.renewintl.org/livingthroughcovid.
A few days later, on March 9th, our following discussion, “How Do We Open Our Hearts To The World,” will occur. During this conversation, participants will hear from Sr. Barbara McEneany, and two other Dominican Sisters from Sparkill.
