Blauvelt Dominican Sister Pat Howell Honored By St. Luke's Education Foundation

MANHATTAN, NY (10/20/2016) - Blauvelt Dominican Sister Pat Howell was recognized by the St. Luke's Education at the 25th Anniversary reception held at the Cornell Club in New York City on October 18th, the feast of St. Luke.


Thomas Parks, President of the Foundation, presents the Foundation’s 25th Anniversary Award to Sr. Pat.


Sr. Pat spent 24 years at St. Luke’s, five as 8th grade teacher and nineteen as principal and was instrumental in establishing the Foundation which provides continuing financial support to the South Bronx school. In commenting on her time at St. Luke’s’ Sr. Pat noted the many opportunities it provided her to work on behalf of social justice for the students and residents of the neighborhood. She is presently principal at St. Anthony’s School, Nanuet, NY.
