On June 14, 2025, the Dominican Sisters Association (DSA) held its inaugural assembly — a day marked by inspiration, unity, and meaningful progress. The gathering began with prayer, song, and a special ritual honoring the five congregations (Amityville, Blauvelt, Caldwell, Hope, and Sparkill) that together form the DSA, symbolizing our shared mission and deep-rooted commitment to collaboration.
Throughout the day, participants engaged in thoughtful dialogue and finalized the DSA Focus Statement, establishing a clear and unified path forward. A significant milestone was the election of the DSA’s first Executive Committee — a dedicated group now entrusted with leading us into this exciting new chapter.

A huge congratulations to the newly elected President of the Dominican Sisters Association — our very own Sr. Terry Rickard! With your inspiring leadership, we look ahead to a future rooted in unity, collaboration, and the rich Dominican charism that grounds our mission and values.

Warmest congratulations as well to the entire incoming Executive Committee — Sr. Mary Hughes (Amityville), Sr. Connie Kelly, (Hope), Sr. Mary Murray (Sparkill), and Sr. Pat Tavis (Caldwell)! Your shared vision and commitment to service will help us move forward together with purpose and grace.
The day concluded with a special blessing for the new Executive Committee, sending them forth with encouragement and hope. May this next chapter be filled with bold ideas, deep listening, and the spirit of community that defines us.
