On June 24, 2025, Sr. Didi Madden, Sr. Ellenrita Purcaro, and Associate Cathy Trapp traveled to Washington, DC to join Sr. Mary Feigen (Dominican Sisters of Hope), Sr. Emily Masse (Sisters of St. Dominic of Amityville) and a powerful gathering of women religious from across the country for Sisters Speak Out—a public witness for economic justice and an end to unjust immigration practices.

Together, they stood in solidarity with all those impacted by unjust systems—especially individuals and families affected by harmful immigration policies and economic inequality. Through prayer, presence, and prophetic voice, these women called for a more compassionate and equitable society—one that recognizes the dignity of every human being.

In this critical moment in our nation and our world, we are called to courage and compassion. We must not look away from the suffering of our brothers and sisters. Instead, we lift our voices and take action, guided by our faith and rooted in values of justice and mercy.

As a community, we unite our hearts, prayers, and advocacy to affirm the truth that all people—regardless of origin or circumstance—deserve to be treated with respect, fairness, and love.

Let us continue to walk this path together, committed to building a world where justice truly speaks louder than fear.
