Support the 2021 Autumn Festival

By Katie Beckmann Mahon, Communications Manager

This week’s “Embracing Faith” article will focus on Embracing Faith through Giving.

Embracing Faith Through Prayer

“Behold, how good and pleasant it was when brothers and sisters dwell in unity.”

-Psalm 133:1

In less than a month, the majestic grounds of the Sisters of Saint Dominic of Blauvelt, New York’s Motherhouse, will once again be filled with people of all ages attending the 70th Annual Autumn Festival.

The Autumn Festival is one of the longest-running festivals in Rockland County and one of the most important fundraisers of the Sisters of Saint Dominic.

Each year, the Autumn Festival draws hundreds of attendees from the tri-state area, and it is anticipated that on September 25th, this year’s Festival will have a similar turnout.

Throughout the years, Festival attendees have enjoyed participating in fun Autumn activities, catching up with sisters they know, as well as reuniting with friends, family, and former classmates. Festival admission is free for all attendees, so bring family and friends. Also, the first 300 Festival attendees will receive a limited edition 2021 Autumn Festival shopping bag.

Despite the cancellation of last year’s event due to the pandemic, this year’s Autumn Festival is shaping up as one of the best ones yet.

Those who attend the 2021 Autumn Festival will be able to enjoy a fun fall day filled with carnival games, pumpkin painting, delicious food, music, pony rides, and favorite area vendors for some early holiday shopping.

If interested in supporting the Autumn Festival, one way to make this year’s event a success is with a Festival sponsorship.

Supporting the Autumn Festival with a sponsorship makes it possible for businesses, local corporations, and organizations to connect with our sisters providing an opportunity to assist us in furthering our mission to serve the poor and marginalized and to bring compassion and mercy to those who need us most.
