Next Thursday, June 3rd, marks the 2021 Hearts Afire Virtual Gala.
This year’s Gala, an annual fundraising event hosted by the Sisters of Saint Dominic of Blauvelt, New York, will look different from previous events, but the program will be just as memorable.
Beginning promptly at 7:00 pm, the Gala will feature the presentation of the Mother Mary Ann Sammon Award to Teresa Radzinski, and Laura and Dan Grable. In addition, there will be a memorial tribute to Sr. Thomas Joseph Durkin, who passed away suddenly in December; a photo history of the Sisters of Saint Dominic; a discussion led by Sr. Mary Theresa Flood about the congregation’s response to the pandemic and impact on the community; and much more.
A notable aspect of this year’s Gala is that registration is free, and viewers can watch from their homes. To register for the Gala, visit https://heartsafiregala.givesmart.com.
Leading up to next week, those interested can participate in the Gala Silent Auction and purchase 50/50 raffle tickets on the Gala website.
Bidding in the Silent Auction will remain open throughout Gala night and close on Friday, June 4th at 5:00 pm.
