On Thursday, people all throughout the United States will celebrate Thanksgiving.
While many of us will cook dinner and host loved ones at their homes, some will enjoy a meal out at a restaurant, or even participate in Thanksgiving special events such as parades, sporting events, and volunteering.
As the holiday approaches, it is important to focus on gratitude and ask yourself, what does Thanksgiving mean to you?
The word Thanksgiving is defined as:
· The act of giving thanks; grateful acknowledgement of benefits or favors, especially to God.
· An expression of thanks, especially to God.
· A public celebration in acknowledgment of divine favor or kindness.
· A day set apart for giving thanks to God. (1)
