Second Sunday of Ordinary Time
"Here I Am Lord; I come to do your will."
In today’s Gospel reading, we are invited to engage in conversation with several people who have been called by God to be servants of the Father’s ministry of preaching the Good News.
Isaiah speaks of being formed by God. Paul reflects on his call to be an Apostle the faithful of Corinth and to preach the Gospel to the ends of the earth. John the Baptist prepares the way for Jesus’ mission to bring the ‘Word’ to all.
We, like these disciples, are called to do God’s will to carry on the mission of Jesus to all.
May each daily prayer echo God’s psalm, "Here I am, Lord, I come to do your will."
