Countdown to Giving Tuesday

This week’s “Embracing Faith” article will focus on Embracing Faith through Giving.

Embracing Faith Through Giving

“Do not withhold good from those whom its due, when it is in your power to act.”

-Proverbs 3:27

These past ten months have felt like nothing short of a never-ending roller coaster ride.

From heartache, devastation, and uncertainty, along with several twists, turns, and loops, as we approach the final months of 2020, now, more than ever, our communities need hope, faith, giving, and unity.

On December 1, 2020, people worldwide, including the Sisters of Saint Dominic of Blauvelt, will come together to participate in a day of global unity, Giving Tuesday.

In 2012, Giving Tuesday was first launched as a simple idea: to create a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past eight years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. (1)

We hope you will join this global generosity celebration and consider supporting the Sisters of Saint Dominic.

When you support the Sisters of Saint Dominic of Blauvelt on Giving Tuesday, you support the ministries of our Sisters and Associates, as they continue to serve the most vulnerable during the pandemic.

Your support on Giving Tuesday also make it possible for the Sisters of Saint Dominic to provide dignified care for aging sisters who have spent their lives serving God's people.

To join the Giving Tuesday movement and support the Sisters of Saint Dominic of Blauvelt, you can: Donate, Connect with our Sisters on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, and encourage your friends and family to participate in Giving Tuesday by sharing why you support the Sisters of Saint Dominic of Blauvelt. Make sure to use the hashtag #GivingTuesday.
