Last week, Sister Dorothy Maxwell, OP discussed reasons why we must preserve our water and today she shares 10 ways you can conserve water.
Here are 10 ways you can conserve water:
1. When showering: get wet, turn off water, soap up, rinse off. 2. Instead of letting water run in the sink to get hot or cold, catch it for cooking, or put it in the refrigerator for drinking supply. 3. Only wash a full load in the laundry or dishwasher. 4. Bottled water is costly, is profitable for big business, uses carbon fuels for transportation, and empty bottles are harmful to environment. 5. Sweep outside with a broom, do not hose down pavement. 6. Cover swimming pools, as evaporation can make hundreds or even thousands of gallons of water disappear. 7. Use less water pressure when washing hands and rinsing. 8. Use waste water for plants in the house and outside gardening. 9. A faucet drip is only is only 2 tablespoons a minute, but if not fixed, it is 15 gallons a day or 105 gallons a week. 10. Do something about what you just read and tell others about it!
