Collaborative Endeavors

We recognize the need and relevance of Collaboration.  As Sisters of Saint Dominic we have become engaged in activities and project that bring together the resources, expertise and shared values with others.  Examples of  these Collaborative Endeavors are:

Marian Woods Adult Home
Ridge Road, Hartsdale, New York
Marian Woods is an elder care residential facility that provide for the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of aging religious.  Developed through a unique collaboration among five religious communities of women, Marian Woods is specifically designed to insure the continued long term care of our older sisters. 

The five Communities are the Sisters of Mercy, the Society of the Holy Child Jesus, The Sisters of Saint Dominic of Blauvelt, the Franciscan Sisters of Peace and the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament. Visit the Marian Woods website.



Dominican Sisters in Committed Collaboration (OPSCC)
Our Congregation has entered into a process of Committed Collaboration with other Dominican Congregations in this area.  These include the Dominican Sisters of Amityville, Caldwell, Hope and Sparkill.  We are carefully considering ways to help make our Dominican Life and Mission more effective and collaborative.To learn more, visit our Dominicans Sisters in Committed Collaboration website.



Dominican Sisters Conference / Dominican Leadership Conference
Our Congregational Leadership participates in the Dominican Leadership Conference (DLC), which includes 29 congregations of sisters and four provinces of friars. The DLC is a networking organization for elected leaders of Dominican Congregations and Provinces in the United States that "unites and supports Dominican leaders committed to building relationships and collaborating in the mission of preaching the Gospel." Dominican Sisters International
We are among the 160 Congregations of Dominican Women located in 116 countries. As part of Dominican Sisters International, we have formed a partnership with the Dominican Sisters of Montebello, South Africa.  There are currently three Montebello Dominican Sisters living with us and studying at Dominican College of Blauvelt.
