The Sisters of St. Dominic of Blauvelt is a Congregation of Women who live the religious way of life in fidelity to the charism of the Order of Preachers. This charism links contemplation with active ministry. Many are drawn to the Dominican life, as non-vowed members. As a result, new forms of participation to the Dominican call are emerging. One way you may now serve is by becoming an Associate.

- Strengthen your personal and spiritual life through support and the sharing of like values
- Participate in the prayer life and works of the congregation
As an Associate you would...
- Join with the Blauvelt Dominican Congregation in a new form of commitment in the Christian life
- Share the values of the Dominican life
- Participate in the prayer and mission of the Congregation in a non-vowed way
- Share the vision of Christian faith as we journey together in our own Christian vocations
Your
Associate membership includes:
- Attendance at Congregational gatherings and celebrations
- Opportunities for faith-sharing and praying with members of the Congregation and other Associates
- Invitations to retreats sponsored by the Congregation
- Volunteer services with the Sisters in various ministries
- Receiving Congregational news on a regular basis
- Contact the Director of Associates or an Associate Team Member
- Formally request to become an Associate
- Attend orientation meetings to learn the history, charism, mission and works of the Congregation
- Be interviewed by the Associate Team and the President of the Congregation
- Participate in a commitment ceremony which marks your formal association with the Blauvelt Dominicans
